Regarding the latest changes starting April 30

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for the heads up and I’m sorry that the Currently One endeavor didn’t turn out as you and your colleagues wanted.

Reading your mail about the latest changes, I have a couple of questions for those of us who bought the unit:

  • Would the unit still show the total consumption of individual phases when connected locally, after April 30?

  • Would we need to update the mobile app to version 1.19.1? How would we do that if that is needed?

  • Would we need to update the firmware of the unit manually to 2.8.8, or it would be updated automatically in the next days? If manually, how would we do that?

  • What would happen to the mobile app and on the cut-off day? Would we be singed off and connected directly to the device even when not at home? You mentioned an external URL for connection. Did you mean to say that the mobile app would use that URL to connect to our individual meters locally and remotely in a transparent way, so we can still use the devices we purchased?

  • Would we need to do any preparation work, so everything goes smoothly on the cut-off date?

Thank you!

Best

Hi @Esgg,

  • yes, the app will still show the individual phases’ currents in Amps when connected to the device, locally or remote. The total consumption in kWh is not available for the individual phases, only for all three phases together.
  • Mobile app 1.19.1 is available in Play and App Store.
  • Auto FOTA takes your firmware to 2.8.9, unless manually disabled.
  • After cut-off, you may have to restart your mobile app for it to connect directly without cloud.
  • Regarding connecting remotely, I am preparing a forum post just on this topic.

regards Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Thanks for the detailed answer, much appreciated.

I’m already on 2.8.9 firmware, but the app does not show the individual phases’ currents in Amps when connected remotely. Will this change on the cut off date?

Thank you,
Esgg
